I’ve been friends with James since middle school. We grew up in neighboring towns and would bike the State trail to each others houses in the summertime. We attended the same college and both graduated with a degree in visual communication. James was so kind to assist in capturing video at my wedding in 2006 and I was very excited when he asked me if I’d be able to photograph his and Bethany’s wedding. Living in the Cayman Islands now for over 4 years, I was excited to do a destination wedding of my own. Usually people come to me for THEIR destination weddings so it was weird traveling back to the Mid-West for a wedding! I was honored and extremely excited to have been asked and was also extremely excited that I was able to make the trip up to North Dakota where the wedding was held. The venue for the entire weekend event was hosted by Bethany’s family on their property, a lovely home on Devils Lake in ND. I had a hard time narrowing down images for this post as I photographed for about 12 hours between two days, what an amazing event!
